acrylic on shaped canvas with trompe l'oeil frameArtist Statement: “The more I travel the more I see, the more I read, the more I want to tweak the viewer’s vision of his or her world. We all want to live in a perfect world where the water is perfectly clear. We know it isn’t so. Yet so many paintings still portray an idealized view of the world. While I don’t want to shatter the fantasy, I would like the viewer to come away from my paintings and take a little extra time to see their world a little differently.”
