COMMENTS FROM THE JUROR

Amy Worth
Co-owner, The South Street Gallery, Greenport NY

There were many outstanding entries from which to choose for this show which made it challenging to single out the best. I found it easier to see work that was presented in a simple manner. The works chosen for best in show, first, second and third place are, I believe, outstanding and represent a wide range of mediums, disciplines and approaches.

ABOUT THE JUROR

Amy Worth
Artist, Teacher and Co-Owner, The South Street Gallery, Greenport, NY
Juror for Color, 2016

Amy Worth is an artist, teacher and a gallerist. She is co-owner of The South Street Gallery, in Greenport, NY, since 2006, which specializes in superior paintings, drawings, and works by artists from the northeast and around the country. Worth began her career as a textile artist and spent years working with color for Folia Fine Fabrics, a licensee of Ralph Lauren. Her focus on color in her teaching and work relates directly to the color mixing and matching required in textile print design. She continues to teach at the gallery where she hosts a weekly life drawing session as well as a variety of workshops, master classes and lectures.
