ABOUT THE JUROR

Frank Wimberley, Internationally Renowned Artist of the East End
Juror for Diversity, 2013
For over 40 years Frank Wimberley has been regarded as one of the preeminent artists on the East End. In the tradition of those wildly creative abstract expressionists who made this tip of Long Island famous as the birthplace of so much bold and courageous non-representative painting, Wimberley shows us again and again that color and composition and texture and style can not only be arrestingly beautiful, but in skillful hands can even convey nuanced emotion.
Frank Wimberley Statement: "It took me sometime to truly consider myself a painter in what you might consider the traditional sense. Over the years it has been a blessing to see De Kooning, Tapies, and Voulkos tear themselves away from the past using tools and materials in a different manner to achieve singular expressions. To move forward in my work I now look back at the experiments I used some time ago. I had to learn to use brushes, but also created tools from all kinds of contraptions to see the differences it made in my sculptures and paintings."

Hear the discussion with Randy Clancy, Coordinator of The Cathedral School at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine's Diversity; Erica Corbin, Director of Community Life and co-chair of the Diversity Council at the Collegiate School in Manhattan; actress and playwright Tina Andrews; lawyer for the Shinnecock Nation Marguerite Smith; Suffolk County school teacher Amanda Fermature; Manny Velasquez-Paredes, President Emeritus National Society of Hispanic MBAs New York Chapter; and artist, professor and curator, David Byre-Tyre as they shared with honest, raw emotions, their own amazing experiences.

Employee Access, Training and Expectations -- Our organization values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of user information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.
  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
  11. Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties? We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, website traffic patterns and related website information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifying data, except as otherwise provided in this privacy policy.
